"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." Matthew 5:43-48

Loving, or even liking people is one of the hardest things for me.
I constantly pass judgement, when it's definitely not in my place to do so.
I mean really, some of the things I say, and people say about others are almost embarrassing.
The hypocrisy that goes into so many statements that leave our mouths is disgraceful.

Focus for now:
To remember that in the end, we're all going to stand in front of God, not each other. And to recognize that I was never called on to pass judgement on anyone, but rather do whatever I can to help anyone-- regardless of whether they are friend or foe.

"Why do you pass judgment on your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God; for it is written,
“As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me,
and every tongue shall confess to God.”
So then each of us will give an account of himself to God.
Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother." Romans 14:10-13

I'm obviously going to stumble a lot on this one, but it's something I'm really going to put an effort into.
