Heavenly Father

Lord,
Thank you for this day. For today I lived. I breathed, I spoke, I laughed, I cried, I smiled.
Thank you for this day. For today I could see. Soft shapes and blurs without my contacts, and the clear images of life with them on.
Thank you for this day. For today I loved. My friends with all their drama, my family with all their confusion, and me with all my imperfections.
Thank you for this day. For today I prayed. For the loss and devastation in Haiti, for the emptiness inside my friends' hearts, for your love, mercy, and grace to fill us all.
Thank you for this day. For today I heard a joke. It was a pun, it made no sense, but it brought a smile to my lips.
Thank you for this day. For today I sang. An off-key voice singing your praises, raising note by note to lift your name.
Thank you for this day. For today I went to school. A privilege for many on this earth, and a routine for me. I got to learn so much more about your world.
Thank you for this day. For today and everyday you made everything happen. I may not discern it immediately, but every-time, I always realize that it's you.

Lord, thank you for everything, thank you for your love.
Please continue to bless me and those around me. My friends who are always there, my family who never gives up. No, please bless everyone on this earth, and allow them to know of your unending grace. I pray for open hearts so that people may come to know you and live amazing lives for you.
